Welcome! I'm Dr. Karen Tringle and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in Tennessee, Florida and Georgia, with an office in Nashville, Tennessee. With over 13 years of clinical experience, I have worked in college counseling centers, medical schools, Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), community mental health centers, as an adjunct faculty member of several undergraduate psychology programs, and as a clinical psychologist with the Department of Veterans Affairs. As an accident prone athlete (AKA clumsy) and Pinterest-fail phenom, I focus on resiliency, personal growth/performance enhancement, and finding humor in even the most trying of situations. I tailor my approach to therapy based on your individual needs, integrating a variety of evidence based approaches, but building a strong relationship between you and I is at the core of my work. If you are interested in my specific expertise and training, these include but are not limited to the following: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based techniques, Biofeedback, Attachment theory, Interpersonal/Relational Therapy, Time Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy (TLDP), Polyvagal Theory (PVT), Interpersonal Neurobiology, Ego State Therapy, Brainspotting, and Solution Focused Therapy, with interwoven elements of humanistic, person-centered, strengths-based, and existential approaches. *If any of those words sound confusing or intimidating, all you need to know is that these well-researched forms of treatment have been shown to deliver consistent and effective results.* Change and growth are possible--sometimes we just need the guidance, encouragement, and support of another person to begin the journey. STOP WAITING. Contact me NOW so that you can get out of your mind and back into your life. To make things even easier, you can choose to schedule an appointment online through my secure client portal. |
